Clackamas Fire District #1 (CFD#1) and the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation are sponsoring Firewise Days for our current Firewise communities.
Firewise days are events that encourage communities to work together to clean up and reduce fuels on their properties and in common areas.
$500 fuels reduction and chipper grants will be provided to the four current and pending Firewise communities within Clackamas Fire District #1. Those communities are Hunter Heights, Beaverlake Estates, Deerfield Park 1 and 2, and Happy Valley Heights (In process).
For property owners within the CFD#1 response area who are not within a neighborhood or a Firewise community, CFD#1 and the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation will be funding ten $500 grants to homeowners to be used for fuels reduction and/or a chipper rental. Please note that a site visit will be required, as well as, photos and the submission of receipts for the chipper rental and/or fuels reduction services.
Grants will be awarded based on an assessment of the property utilizing potential wildfire threat and prevention criteria.
